Emergency Relief Fund Guidelines
The Eastside Arts Initiative (EAI) Emergency Relief Fund supports local working artists and arts workers impacted by the recent wildfires.
Funding Amount
Grants between $1,000 up to $5,000 will be provided based on need.
Acceptable Applicants
Must meet one of the following criteria to apply:
- Working artist
- Arts worker employed at a nonprofit arts organization in LA County
- Arts worker employed at an arts institution in LA County
Requirements
- Resident of Los Angeles County as of January 7, 2025
- Livelihood from work in the arts
- Immediate financial assistance needed
- Working in an artistic field for one year or more
- 18 years of age or older
Funding Priorities
- Home Destroyed
- Artmaking/Arts Teaching Space Destroyed
- Displaced / Evacuated
- Loss of Belongings and Basic Necessities
- Loss of Art Equipment and/or Supplies
Emergency Grant Applications Timeline
- Accepted February 27 to May 30, 2025 or until emergency funds are depleted.
- Open-ended and evaluated for funding on first come, first serve basis.
- Emergency grants awarded within 21-days of approval.
